Planetary Perspective

Moon whispered to the sun in near silent reverie. “I wish you were closer. I wish I could be closer to you. I lose you all the time. I feel like it’s forever. Just a part of me is graced with your light. I’m so hot yet so very cold and I’m nothing like those closer to you. Why was I pushed so very far from you? Other planets, moons and some stars must feel the same. There has to be a way for me to be closer to you. I’m your slave and at your mercy. I’m only teased with your affection. The Sun probably doesn’t even know I’m here. Ah to be like Mars and be so close. To feel so much more than just me, a little moon.”

Sadness gripped the moon. An eternity without being noticed by the brilliantly blazing gas giant felt like Moons creation meant nothing. Yes, Moon had stars, had the earth but Moon wanted so desperately to feel the Suns presence like those before it. At times Moon laid in complete darkness and cold. During this period it felt especially alone. Much time had passed. Moon had forgotten just how long it had been since the selfish Earth and it had called out to each other. It constantly spun as it had been placed to do and yet Moon was yearning for so much more. It desperately searched for its meaning. Moon started to dream of leaving its orbit. Moon knew if it was able to escape its orbit it could throw many things off in the galaxy. However, it thought maybe just maybe they’d all be happier to be out of their orbits as well. Moon then started making up reasons to do exactly what it wanted. Filling in the gaps with its own personal wants. Moon started to plot its escape.

Earth had been spinning on its path just as long as Moon. Earth remembered the last time it had spoken to the Moon. Earth said that it felt like it was dying slowly. That in all its time, it hadn’t felt like it would be able to go on for much longer because the temperature inside her was rising slowly, the oxygen was being depleted, that the humans were killing it. They constantly dug deep into it, killed other living things including each other. She had seen her inner creatures evolve from things so small and assisted in their growth with her sacrifice. Yet they never respected the life she provided them. She was their Mother but they always hurt her. She was trying to explain this to the moon. She wanted to express how important the moon was to her. Moon cut her off before she could explain. Moon told her “You’re just trying to make me feel like I mean nothing! You’re selfish soaking up the suns light. You never know true darkness. You never experience the pain of intense cold and heat. You have all the living creatures and you’re never alone!”

Mother Earth started to cry inside. Storms brewed and her pain showered all over the living creatures. Earth’s  pain manifested a storm so great with so many tears that a great flood came. It covered her insides solely. When she stopped crying, she found the Earth was covered in water. Yet some still lived. She raised her voice and exalted the Great Creator. Praised the Great Creator for saving the creatures inside of her. She felt she’d betrayed them and the Creator with her selfishness. She vowed to herself and Creator that she would never betray her purpose, no matter the pain she may endure. Her voice rang out through the entire Galaxy. It was like the voice of millions of Angels. It was heard by the Sun. It rang out far beyond. Touching other galaxies. All of the Planets, Stars, and Moons heard her cry. They all felt her sadness, gratitude and heard her cry for forgiveness.

The Moon took a massive offense to this show. How selfish could Earth be! Just to be noticed by the Sun AND the Great Creator! How dare she. At that point, Moon decided to stop speaking to the Earth.

Earth decided that if Moon was going to interfere with her purpose she should no longer communicate with Moon. After all, they all had their purpose. She wouldn’t let anything sway her.

The Sun heard Earths cries. Sun felt its own cry reverberate within it. It was giving its very life for all in this galaxy. The Great Creator had charged the Sun with the entire weight of the galaxy. The Great Creator set it a flame. Sun was destined to burn hotter and hotter drawing it closer to death with every moment. Sun was afraid to die. Sun was afraid to burn. Sun endured its slow excruciating death to serve the galaxy. To do as the Creator had charged it to do. Although, it suffered, it did so for creation. That alone was far bigger than the Suns life could ever be. When Sun heard Mother Earth cry it also wept. The Sun wept, solar flares erupted from its surface. The ripple effect was felt was felt in depths of space and acrossed time.

Mercury’s surface was forever scarred by the Sun. Venus lost mass amounts of its oxygen. Earth felt a disturbance causing geomagnetic storms and intense auroras. Mars temperature began rising and its whole chemistry change. Jupiter experienced a massive blow back of X-ray aurora. Jupiters auroras were eight times brighter than normal and covered such a large area. Jupiters auroras could compare to hundreds of times more energetic than Earth’s northern lights. Even Saturn felt the blow of the pain by the Sun.

The Sun was so ashamed. Sun felt like it let the Creator down. The Sun let the pain build up until it couldn’t any longer. It was slowly and painfully dying. It’s heavenly body was breaking down. Sun couldn’t stop what was set in motion by the Creator. The Sun did all it could to keep the galaxy in order and rotating as the Great Creator had charged the Sun. All the while dying and doing so completely alone.

All of the Creators creation wondered at one point or another why they were placed there. None shouted out their questions. They knew whatever the reason was their purpose was greater. They dutifully turned and spoke to only their rings and moons.  Mercury and Venus had each other since they were closer than any other of the celestial body’s. Yet rarely did Mercury bother the Sun knowing the Sun must have great responsibility. It’s Nobel duty deserved great respect and no interference.

Only Earth’s Moon wanted out of its axis. It had convinced its self that this was the Creators grand design. It plotted. What Moon didn’t realize was that Earth was so intune that she felt its disturbance.

Mother Earth spoke to Moon for the first time in many rotations.

“Moon. I have not heard your call in so very long. I do miss us. I know you might feel tired. I know we’ve not spoken because of our last exchange. I am sorry. I hope you would accept my apology.”

Moon could not believe Earth was reaching out. Moon was so awe struck that it stumbled to find a reply. After the time of darkness Moon raised its inquiry to Mother Earth.

“Earth. I have been feeling so alone. I have forgotten why I am here. I have thought about leaving this axis. Earth why am I here, destine to live in your shadow? It pains me so that the Sun neglects me. That I am beaten by the meteors. My form doesn’t breathe life. I have nothing to give me purpose.”

Mother Earth was so gentle and full of Grace. She didn’t have to say sorry for the way Moon reacted during the conversation that drew up a invisible boundary between them. She in her knowing grace felt the Moon wanting to move outside of what the Creator had given rise to. She decided for all it was best that she intervene and soothe the Moon.

“My sweet and only Moon. Do you know how important you are? Do you know how much you’re needed? If you left. I’d be lost and destroyed without you. All creatures inside of me would be in utter darkness. When you reflect the Suns light it gives them light. You give them direction. The creatures here miss you so much when you are in darkness! They send you good energy, they lift your name in praise, some even leave offerings when you are full of light from the Sun. You pull me in and keep me centered so that all creatures are able to stay in their places. You’re important to them and to me. Your purpose is the same as all of ours. The Great Creator gave us life to give life.”

Moon was bewildered. Moon had no idea just how important it’s presence was to Earth and her creatures. It felt alive again. Renewed in purpose. Suddenly, Moon flashed back to the great divide.

“Earth, when we last spoke. I believed that you were speaking to me trying to make me feel small. Smaller than I already felt. Was I wrong?”

Earth was surprised at this. Earth believed that Moon would never ask about its misinterpretation. Earth believed Moon would never want to know her true intentions. Earth knew of no other way to explain what she truly wanted to convey but in truth.

“Moon, you and I have very similar duties. Right? That time I came to you to explain how much the creatures that live within harm me throughout every rotation. They fight each other. Inflict awful things upon each other. Even the smallest and most gentle are not safe. They dig into me and rip me open. They are devouring other creatures to the point that they stop being. They are absorbing, polluting my oxygen. Then they destroy the Creators gift that replenished the oxygen. All because they want constantly. They only care to fill their own self centered desires. They are making my insides heat up slowly, killing me. My storms are increasing. Their selfishness causes more damage and more death. It is endless. They are drifting into the point of no return. They are driven by selfishness, want for all thing no matter the harm. They think they are alone here. When they could never be so far from the truth.. They are killing me, themselves and all creations within me. I wanted to express my fear and sadness. I never ever wanted you to feel as if you had no purpose. I am sorry if I came across in that way. You mean so much more than you think.”

Moon thought on this. “Earth. If they are destroying you why do you let them continue?”

“I am doing what the Creator has charged me with.”

“Are you sure that is your purpose?”

“If it wasn’t it wouldn’t be.”

Moon felt horrible about its prior expression. It couldn’t believe that Mother Earth would be seeking comfort with it! Moon did have a purpose. Moon had more purpose than it ever knew or expected. Moon now knew to leave the Earth would be a great disaster. To leave Earth would be death to her, her creatures and possibly the entire galaxy. If it left it would effect all of the Great Creators galaxy.

“Moon, do you remember when I sang then? When I cried out? I drown most of the creatures that lived within me. I became overwhelmed with your response. That reverberated through our whole galaxy. The Sun cried for its duty is far greater than our own and its completely alone while surrounded by us all. We all have each other. The Sun burnt Mercury and Venus. Suns cry caused disruptions inside of me. It even hit Saturn. We are all connected. We all play an important role in the Great Creators Design. None of us hold an easy task yet we do our duties with driven purpose. We are committed to fulfilling the Creators Grand Design. There will come a day when the Sun dies. It is dying slowly. I can feel it. I am dying. I know this all to be true. All of this will change. Who knows what will be next for you.”

The Moon was saddened by this and relented. “I am so sorry Mother Earth. I am here for you and will support you no matter how this may turn out.”

Earth is enduring our desecrations as she slowly gives us her everything. We return this heavenly body destruction, mayhem, chaos and death. We deal each other and all of nature the same. We are a pestilence. We thrive on evil, hate and greed. If respect, love and humbleness were made our priority we would all be happier and gentler. Life would better off for us and for the future. At this rate when 2050 arrives a deep downward slope into complete destruction will arrive with it. Truth is we are trained to consume. We rarely give back until something horrible happens. Even then we do so while wanting something in return. Companies use planned obsolescence as a way to greedily push us in to grinding each precious moment of our lives away for things we cannot take with us. When you die do you believe it will be with regret? Do you believe that if you died today, you fulfilled your purpose? How you’ve made people feel and the differences we make in each other’s lives becomes the true test. We are guilty but we can change. If not for us but the future generations, the Earth and all its creatures.

Our crime rates are skyrocketing. Our family’s split. We spend more time at work than with our family. We are in a constant problem solving state. The majority of us are born without knowing if we will eat, have shelter,  clean water and will live a entire life in this state. Love is shown in material ways not in spending time with one another. The lock down came along with a mass death event and for once parents had to be parents. Children were able to see their family. Most circumstances it drove people wild. Fear grew exponentially. We no longer felt for the people who passed. We felt fear for ourselves. Domestic violence increased. Abuse cases soared. Drug use and over doses became a norm. We are a world in need of reminding that we are so small but as a whole effect all. We are barreling towards an extinction event. Time has never been on our side. Placing the blame on anyone but ourselves solves nothing. Our destiny lays within the stars and the stars within our hearts. I am not the end all be all. I am one in billions. My words may carry no weight or significant difference within any heart. I am the only one charged with my souls fate. After all, what effect does such a small moon really have on an entire galaxy?
